What if you were

the villain

in your own love story?

Tempest Dunlap is in love with love.

When she's not holding one of her doula clients' hands as they give birth, or caring for her anxious seven-year-old niece, she is reading a romance novel and fantasizing about happily ever afters. Something she knows she can never have, because everyone she’s ever kissed, let alone slept with, has died. She's a... well, she can't even really admit what she is, except on her Discord server of slightly supernatural weirdos.

And then Joel Tav, a gentle doctor who seems to save more lives than should be possible, moves to town. Tempest can't keep herself away from him, even though his life depends on it. She knows two things: First, she can’t let herself touch him. Ever. And second, he can never find out that his brilliant brother was the last man she dated —and accidentally killed.

When a mysterious vigilante starts picking off people in Tempest’s online community, it’s time for her to use her deadly powers of seduction for good, to protect herself and her family. If only the person she finally got to go to bed with was Joel instead of the vengeful demon hunter who wants to kill her. But Tempest should be careful what she wishes for…
